DELIVERY & FREIGHT INSPECTION
Because each Rustic Luxe Designs door is custom built and freight delivered, inspection at time of delivery is required prior to signing.
DELIVERY DAY INSPECTION (REQUIRED BEFORE SIGNING)
SHIPPING
Rustic Luxe Designs offers flat rate shipping ($250) on orders shipped within the United States and Canada. Shipping includes a residential delivery appointment and liftgate service at delivery. All custom-built products require several weeks for manufacturing since each piece is handmade. Certain door designs and customizations may extend production timeframes. Products ship after completion and arrive fully assembled in one piece. Rush shipping is available and is calculated at checkout, with delivery expected within approximately 4 weeks.
Please confirm that the shipping address listed on your invoice is correct. Rustic Luxe Designs is not responsible for reconsignment charges, and refunds will not be issued if items fail to arrive due to incorrect address information. We will assist in contacting the shipping carrier to help resolve delivery issues whenever possible.
Each product is carefully packaged and secured to prevent damage during transit. We work closely with trusted shipping carriers to ensure safe handling and delivery.
GROUND AND HOME DELIVERY
Smaller items, such as gates and saloon doors, shipped domestically are delivered via Ground or Home Delivery services. Transit times typically range from 1 to 10 business days depending on destination.
FREIGHT SHIPPING
Large items, such as doors, shipped domestically are transported via freight carriers and are subject to flat rate charges based on product type. All Rustic Luxe Designs freight shipments include residential curbside delivery, liftgate service, and scheduled delivery appointments. Any additional accessorial services must be paid by the consignee or approved by Rustic Luxe Designs.
Average freight transit time within the United States is approximately 7 to 14 business days depending on the destination. Please retain all shipping materials for 14 days after delivery. Rustic Luxe Designs and freight carriers are not liable for packaging once the product has been received by the customer.
DAY OF DELIVERY – IMPORTANT
Once contacted by the freight company to schedule delivery, arrangements should be made immediately. Delays in scheduling delivery after notification may result in additional freight charges, storage fees, return shipping costs, and reshipping charges. The customer is responsible for all additional freight charges related to delivery delays.
Doors are shipped on custom-built pallets with protective wood crates inside boxed packaging to protect the product during transit only. Doors must be opened immediately upon delivery to confirm safe arrival. The delivery driver should remain present while you inspect both sides of the door and all products. Please have at least one additional person available to assist with inspection.
Each order is quality control inspected and documented prior to shipment. Signing the delivery receipt without written notation of damage confirms the shipment was received in satisfactory condition. Delivery inspection includes verification of product condition, correct specifications and size, configuration, finish selection and any visible manufacturing defects. By signing without notation, the customer confirms the product matches the order specifications.
If damage is visible, refuse delivery and clearly note “doors damaged” or provide a detailed description next to your signature. While crates are custom-built to protect your order, damage can occasionally occur during transit. Customers must inspect all sides of the product and confirm specifications, then notify Rustic Luxe Designs of any damage within 24 hours of delivery. Failure to report concealed damage within 24 hours may result in denial of a freight claim.
Do not leave your door in its crate outdoors or exposed to weather. Even finished doors may react negatively to precipitation or temperature changes while crated. Move the crate to a protected location and remove the door as soon as possible.
Do not destroy or dispose of shipping materials or pallets until you are fully satisfied with your product. In some cases, this may require retaining the crate until installation is complete. Rustic Luxe Designs is not responsible for providing replacement shipping crates if original packaging materials are discarded and the product must be returned.
Curbside delivery is included with each order. Freight carriers are not responsible for delivery beyond curbside service.
Do not schedule installation until your product has arrived and been fully inspected. Rustic Luxe Designs is not responsible for contractor installation or rescheduling fees.
Products must be inspected prior to installation. Rustic Luxe Designs is not responsible for costs associated with installation or removal, including contractor labor, travel, or transportation costs, regardless of the reason, including manufacturing concerns.
If a manufacturing error occurs, Rustic Luxe Designs will arrange pickup only from the original delivery location.
DAMAGES
Customers are responsible for inspecting their shipment thoroughly before signing the delivery receipt. You have the right to refuse delivery if damage is suspected or visible. Once the shipment is returned, Rustic Luxe Designs will inspect the product and complete necessary repairs. If the damage is determined to be severe and non-repairable, the order will be remade.
All damage must be documented on the delivery receipt at the time of signing. If the shipment is accepted and signed for, the customer assumes full responsibility for arranging and paying return shipping to Rustic Luxe Designs.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING (OUTSIDE U.S. & CANADA)
For international shipments, duties, fees, tariffs, and customs charges are the responsibility of the customer. Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with import laws in their country. Refunds will not be issued for items detained or returned by customs officials.
