The Ventilated Rakesh Door

A modern architectural statement designed for both form and function. The Ventilated Rakesh Door features precision-spaced vertical wood slats that allow airflow while maintaining privacy-ideal for closets, pantries, offices, and contemporary interiors.

Each door is handcrafted as a single solid piece, not assembled from kits or panels. The result is a seamless, high-end door with exceptional strength, balance, and longevity. Clean lines and subtle depth give the Rakesh a calm, timeless presence that integrates effortlessly into modern and transitional spaces.

This versatile design can be installed as a sliding door, ceiling-mount track system, bypass, hinged swing door, pocket door, or fully customized for your opening.

Freight Delivery Options

Commercial Delivery — $295
Requires dock or forklift access at delivery location.

Residential Delivery — $395
Includes liftgate service and scheduled delivery appointment.

Standard production lead time: 4 weeks.
Each door is professionally crated and palletized to ensure protected freight transit.
Please inspect shipment at time of delivery and note any visible damage with the carrier before signing.

All RLD door designs can be installed as sliding, hinged, pivot, invisible, or multi-folding systems.

Doors are sold as custom-built slabs. Hardware, track systems, hinges and installation components are NOT included unless explicitly listed on your invoice.

Finished Doors:

Covered by a 10-year limited warranty.

Warranty does not cover finishes, discoloration, damage, improper installation, or normal wear.

Unfinished Doors:

Not covered under warranty.

Doors must be finished or sealed within 2 business days of delivery to prevent warping, separating, or splitting caused by humidity or temperature changes.

If your door ships unfinished, there is no warranty protection.

Natural Wood Characteristics:

Each may include grain variation, knots, or tonal differences. These are natural characteristics and not considered defects.

Preparation & Finishing:

Finished doors are professionally sanded and filled prior to staining or painting.

Unfinished doors arrive raw. Plan for approximately 8 hours of prep work, including sanding both sides and all edges.

Bondo is applied at seams and must be sanded before applying your finish.

Customers may choose to fill or leave natural imperfections depending on their preferred aesthetic.

Important Note:

Unfinished doors require more preparation. If you are new to working with wood, we recommend selecting a factory-finished door for the most durable result.

Once your order is placed:

• You will receive an order confirmation email
• Our team reviews specifications for production
• Your build is scheduled according to current lead times

Production begins after order confirmation.

MEASUREMENTS & SPECIFICATIONS

Rustic Luxe Designs manufactures products exactly to the specifications submitted at the time of purchase.

Customers are solely responsible for:

• All measurements
• All sizing decisions
• All configuration selections
• All information provided during checkout

We strongly recommend verifying dimensions with your contractor, builder, or designer prior to placing your order.

Orders cannot be remade or adjusted due to incorrect measurements or specifications submitted at checkout.

NATURAL MATERIAL CHARACTERISTICS

Our products are crafted from wood, Garnica plywood and natural materials.

As part of the inherent beauty of these woods, the following are normal characteristics:

• Grain variation
• Knots and mineral streaks
• Natural color variation
• Seasonal expansion and contraction
• Organic movement over time

These are not considered defects but natural features of authentic wood products.

INSTALLATION RESPONSIBILITY

Proper installation is the responsibility of the homeowner, contractor, or installer.

Rustic Luxe Designs is not responsible for:

• Structural framing issues
• Improper header support
• Incorrect opening preparation
• Installer errors

We recommend professional installation for all architectural door systems.

PRODUCT CARE & MAINTENANCE

To preserve the integrity and appearance of your door:

• Maintain stable interior humidity levels (35–55% recommended)
• Avoid excessive moisture exposure
• Clean with a soft, dry or lightly damp cloth
• Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners
• Periodically check and tighten hardware as needed

Natural wood movement may occur with seasonal humidity changes. This is normal and does not impact structural integrity when properly maintained.
